It is another big honour for our Tamil films. Some of our Tamil hit films are being shown in the prestigious Uglich International Film Festival in Russia.

The Tamil films that are screened in the festival are Rajini’s Shankar directed ‘Sivaji’, K V Anand directed Jiiva’s ‘Ko’, ‘Chandramukhi’, ‘Thenmerku Paruvakkaatru’, Vasanthabalan’s ‘Angaadi Theru’ and Arya’s ‘Boss Engira Baskaran’! One of the highlights of the festival is that Thespian Sivaji Ganesan’s historical film and yesteryear blockbuster ‘Thilaana Moganaambal’ is also being screened in this festival that is scheduled to be held this November.

It may be mentioned these years many Tamil films have been screened in many International Film Festivals. Recently Vetrimaaran’s Dhanush starrer ‘Aadukalam’ was shown in many such festivals. Vasanthabalan’s ‘Veyil’ and ‘Angaadi Theru’, Ameer’s ‘Paruthiveeran’ and Pandiraj’s ‘Pasanga’ are the other films that got the honour of international screenings in recent times.
