During Diwali season (October 26 to November 1), theatres in Tamil Nadu will be allowed to screen daily five shows.

The TN government has allowed the extra show for a week during the festival season.
Says Abirami Ramanathan, president of Theatre owners association: “ It is a nice gesture from the government to allow five shows a day for one week for Diwali holiday season. There will be an increase in collections at the box-office.”

Trade sources say the Diwali season is traditionally the best after Pongal.

Family audiences will be thronging the theatres, and all the three releases - Velayudham, 7aum Arivu and RA.One carry ‘U’ certificates
