The actor who is always a regular tax payer was honored by the Income Tax department. The function witnessed the presence of Tamil Nadu Governor Surjit Singh Barnala, Cancer Institute chief Dr Shantha and ICAI president V Murali among others.

Tamil Nadu Governor Surjit Singh Barnala presented a certificate to Kamal and greeted the actor. The actor has expressed his thanks to the Income Tax department and Governor.

Tamil Nadu Governor Surjit Singh has advised everyone to pay the tax regularly and also praised the Income tax depart for their efforts which had successfully crossed one-and-a-half decade.
