Ajith's Billa 2 finally started today

Thala Ajith's prestigious project Billa 2 finally started today after much-delay. Billa 2 is set to be one of the biggest Tamil films ever produced as the production gets underway today on $7 million.

The shooting is going to start at the Ramoji Rao Film city in Hyderabad. Director Chakri Toleti planned a single 90-day schedule out of which 40 days of the shoot will go on at Hyderabad’s Ramoji Studios while the rest 50 days will be shot at Goa, Pondicherry and unspecified spots in East Europe.
Ajith is going have Huma Qureshi and Bruna Abdullah as the leading ladies of the film. The latest addition to the cast is Sudhanshu Pandey from Bollywood, who plays one of the enemies of Billa. Chakri Toleti has excluded the characters of Namitha’s role of CJ and Nayantara’s character of Sasha where as Prabhu and Rahman’s characters were retained.
Billa 2 is the first Indian picture to use the Epic RED camera running at its full 5K resolution. RD Rajasekhar is the cinematographer. Other key crew includes Selva Kumar as production designer and Yuvan Shankar Raja as music director.
Billa 2 is jointly produced by IN Entertainment (India) Limited (INE) and Wide Angle Creations of Suresh Balaji and George Pius.
Delivery is scheduled for April 2012 to match with the Tamil New Year.
