For the last few years Vikram is getting groomed on various aspects of acting. The film was initially titled as Deivamagan, which was the title of his grandfather's Sivaji Ganesan film but now on hearing to the script narrated by Prabhu Solomon they tentatively changed the title as Komban. The directed always wanted to do a film on how the environment is being worn out by humans and has done an extensive research on this theme.

Even Vikram Prabhu is looking out for an interesting script for his debut. When Prabhu Solomon has narrated the script to him he immediately agreed to sign on the dotted lines.

Director Solomon says "My hero is Vikram and he will be gong for a new look for the film which is rough and shaggy. As he is doing this film with elephants, he will undergo a training session with a domestic elephant in Ottapalam in Kerala. Vikram will also sport outstanding action scenes and gymnastics".

Meanwhile, Vikram's father Prabhu is very happy as the film directed by Prabhu Solomon will be a perfect launch pad for his son.

Komban will be produced by Lingusamy brothers.
