Vasantha Balan's periodic film Aravaan is currently is shooting at Thoranamalai near Tenkasi. It is well known that the director has erected costly sets for the film. The latest we hear is that due to strong winds blown in this mountainous area the sets erected for the film have been destroyed.
Art director Vijay Murugan has erected 100 huts made of bamboo sticks, palm leaves and stones. All the huts were blown away due to the strong windstorm. The director is also using a costly Jimmy Jip crane for the shoot was also damaged due to the effect of strong winds. The cost of the set is nearly eighty lakh rupees and also plays a vital role in the film.
The shoot of the film is now shifted Hogenekkal area and the director is busy canning fight sequences and also a song is being picturised near the waterfall.
Aravaan features Aadhi, Pasupathy, Archana Kavi and Dhansika in the lead roles while Pasupathy and Kabir Bedi plays a pivotal role.
