Jiiva’s Vanthaan Ventraan, directed by Kannan (an associate of Mani Ratnam), will have its grand audio launch at the Sathyam Theatres, Chennai on June 12, 2011. Thaman is the music director.

In VV, Jiiva plays the role of a struggling boxer who fights hard to achieve his goal. The actor has undergone some rigorous training for this film. Tapasee plays an architect. Some of Kollywood’s eminent personalities, including Mani Ratnam, Shankar and Vijay are expected to grace the audio launch.

Vanthaan Ventraan takes place in Mumbai, but is also shot in Chennai and Kerala. An important flashback scene has also been shot in Podinayakanur (Madurai). The film is produced by Vasan Visual Ventures of Boss Engira Baskaran fame.
