Meanwhile Rajini's best friend from Tollywood, actor Mohan Babu also spoke to him and enquired about his health status. Mohan Babu's daughter Lakshmi Prasanna tweeted by saying that, "RajinikAnth uncle is doing fine. He is resting. Dad just spoke to latha aunty. Pray for a speedy recovery and send him love".

According to the hospital statement, the 60-year-old star was admitted on May 13 for detailed investigations into his respiratory and gastro-intestinal problems.
