The remake of Dabangg in Tamil is going to start from May 9th at AVM Pillayar Koil followed by a press meet. Simbu is going reprise the role of Salman Khan while Tollywood hot beauty Richa Gangopadhaya is replacing Sonakshi Sinha.
Apart from the lead pair Jithan Ramesh will star as Simbu's brother in the film with Nizhalgal Ravi and Revathy as their parents. The Tamil remake is going to be directed by Dharani and Simbu as choosed him as he very confident about Dharani's direction. Cinematography is handled by Gopinath and Thaman is scoring the music.
Balaji Real Media Pvt Limited Media who took over the official rights of the Tamil remake is going to produce the film
Arbazz Khan, Salman Khan's brother and producer of Dabangg is expected to grace the movie launch ceremony.
Meanwhile Telugu version of Dabangg is titled as Gabbar Singh which has Pawan Kalyan in the lead role.
It looks like, Dabangg is going to create ripples in South Cinema too.
