Latest we hear is that director Selvaraghavan is out of Viswaroopam. Yes! The reason behind this walk out is a mutual one as it became impossible to postpone the shooting of Viswaroopam until Selvaraghavan completes his current project, Irandam Ulagam. Selva's Irandam Ulagam will at any cost takes a couple of months and the producer of Viswaroopam doesn't want to postpone the shoot as it will be too long a wait. In fact the producer is in plans of releasing the film on November 7th.
One of the most important decisions taken today by Kamal Haasan is the responsibility of directing this magnum opus will be done by himself. Yes! Kamal Haasan is directing Viswaroopam in addition to handling the story, screenplay, dialogue and lyrics. Nearly after a gap of years we will be getting a chance of seeing a complete Kamal film; script, dialogues, Lyrics and all. His last directed film was Virumaandi in 2004.
Viswaroopam is the costliest film that has been planned in Tamil to date as the initial estimate budget is running up to 150 crores. And the film is releasing in simultaneously in 3 languages, Tamil, Telugu and Hindi. The time is less than 6 months from now as the release is planned on November 7th and it is not a simple task to wrap up the film in just 6 months as Viswaroopam is not a simple romantic comedy or drama which can be canned at a double quick. The team seems to be confident of meeting the rigid target they have put for themselves and they have already started the pre production work of the film.
We know, Viswaroopam is worth waiting as the initial signs of the film are all set to dwarf the yardsticks set by Dasavatharam.
And, for those of you who in blue of Kamal-Selva combination, there is good news. The producer has expressed that the trio will come together for another film.
