It looks like Bollywood stars are keeping an eye on Kollywood releases. Until now it's only Salman Khan who is keen in doing Kollywood remakes but now Bollywood’s original khiladi Akshay Kumar joins him as he is doing the remake of Siruthai in Hindi.

Siruthai, the Pongal hit film which featured Karthi in the lead role is all set to enter Bollywood. Akshay Kumar and hot ‘n’ happening Sonakshi Sinha are going to essay the roles of Karthi and Tamannaah respectively. It is heard that Siruthai ahs impressed Akshay a lot and the Prabhu Deva is going to direct the film. Buzz is that the Bollywood filmmakers have watched both the versions and decided that it's only Akshay who would suit the role in Hindi, as it has all the mass elements.

Siruthai is a mass masala entertainer which went on and turned as most successful Tamil film so far at the box-office. In fact Siruthai it self is the remake of Tollywood blockbuster film Vikramarkudu. The success of both versions happened as Karthi and Ravi Teja carried the difficult dual role of a tough police officer and street smart goonda successfully.

Prabhu Deva is going to start the shoot of the Hindi remake from July end. Sanjay Leela Bhansali is going to produce the film.

It can be noted here that earlier there was news that Akshay Kumar is doing the remake of Jeeva's KO but there is no official confirmation from the filmmakers end.
