UTV Motion Pictures has rubbished recent reports that the production house has bagged the Tamil-Telugu remake rights of Bollywood hit Band Baaja Baaraat (2010), directed by Maneesh Sharma with Anushka Sharma and Ranveer Singh in the lead.
It was earlier reported that the production house would remake the Hindi film in Telugu and Tamil with Ravi Teja donning the lead role in both versions. They further said that Trisha would be the heroine and Bum Chik Bum was the title under consideration for the Telugu version.
UTV Motion Pictures South wing head Dhanajayan said: “There are no such plans as of now. Certainly, no one is considered for the lead roles.” However, he didn't deny the reports about UTV having talks with Ravi Teja to make their comeback film in Telugu.
