The puja muhurat for Rajini's Raana has been decided on April 20, 2011 at the Ganesh statue in AVM Studios, Chennai. Raana team will take part in the puja and this place is considered as Rajini's lucky place and they have decided to perform the movie launch over here.

Later to this Superstar Rajinikanth along with his leading lady Deepika Padukone will fly to UK for filming a duet song. Though Deepika was unable to take up the project initially she somehow managed to bag the project by adjusting her call sheet of other films. Now she is all excited about the Raana and also expressed that this is her long time dream to work with Rajini. Off course who doesn't! Raana is a periodic film which brings Rajini in three different outlooks. Rajini will be sporting in a complete new look for Raana.

Raana will be a tri-lingual, in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi. Producers of the film Eros International and Ocher Studios are in plans to release the film release on early 2012.

Music will be scored by AR Rahman and cinematographer Rathnavelu will handle the camera for this masterpiece.
