Music Maestro Ilayaraja is back into the camp of ace director Mani Ratnam. It is known to us that Mani Ratnam is going to start his next film based on popular novel Ponniyin Selvan.

From the day the project has been made official it has grabbed lot of interest among his fans and film buffs regarding the cast and crew. It was said that Manirathnam signed Yuvan Shankar Raja for 'Ponniyin Selvan' & there are news about Vijay, Vikram, Vishal in Manirathnam's next film. Though the details of the cast and crew were not yet finalized, Illayaraja has been zeroed as the music director for the film.
It is well known to all of us that Mani Ratnam gives lot of importance for music in his films.

Mani Ratnam for most of his films casts AR Rahman as the music director, but at present Rahman is busy with his international projects. So he decided to go for his favourite music director Ilayaraja. Finally the music for this historical extravaganza will be scored by music maestro.
