Pournami Naagam movie review
Dropping an intensifying idea onto the papers always needs proper execution over the frames. Unfortunately, the ideas get stuck away from perfection when delivered on the screens. Especially, when penning scripts for fantasy based films like 'Pournami Naagam', there needs to be substantialities maintained over the technical panoramas.
Although, Yaar Kannan seems to have come up with a good idea, the poor technical show trivializes everything at last. Ultimately 'Pournami Naagam' doesn't gratify the audiences on such levels as the story is trite and banal from beginning till end.
Pournami Naagam movie review
The film opens with a couple (Nizhalgal Ravi and Jayashree) sending away their daughter Manasa (Mumaith Khan) to foreignland holding a secret behind. Then there is a precious stone Naga Mani protected by a women-disguised-like snake Naga Kanni (played by Mumaith Khan again) and her beau. When the witch lady Kaandhari (Nalini) & Co try to capture the stones so as to bring the entire world under their control, Naga Kanni's man gets killed. On the parallel track, Manasa's father too gets bumped off by the same group.
When Maanasa sets out to seek revenge on the baddies, she tends to witness some shocking facts on this mission. Rest of the film is about the clichéd proceedings that are more predictable on every minute.
Mumaith Khan's performance has to be appreciated as the young missy has shown keen interest and more interest over performing every shot with perfection.
Nalini as witch lady doesn't make any sense as she tries to replicate the yesteryear onscreen witch-ladies on her acting. Adithya Menon has a cop and fiancĂ© of Mumaith Khan doesn't carry more prominence. Mayilsamy and Karunaas try to tickle funny bones now and then. Particularly, the dream scenes of Manobala spitting over Karunaas' face maybe liked by few cohorts…

Just as mentioned, technical details lack clarity. The cinematography is so amateurish while editing is so unclassified. Computer Graphics have nothing special to mention about.
If at all, audiences feel to watch a late 80s Telugu commercial women-centric film, 'Pournami Naagam' is recommended. But it doesn't offer you the best entertainment.
