South Indian Film Artistes Association president R Sarath Kumar, his wife Radhika, filmmaker P Vasu, playback singer S P Balsubramaniam and actress Suhasini Mani Ratnam and Sandhya among others paid homage to Kannada top actor Vishnuvaradhan who died in Mysore on Wednesday.
They paid last respects to the actor’s body, which was kept for public homage at the National College Grounds in Basavankudi. Vasu, the director of Vishnuvarashan’s 200th film ‘Aptha Rakshaka’ was unable to control tears from his eyes on seeing the body of his yet-to-be-released movie’s hero.
The case was no different when Radhika and Suhasini went near the freezer box in which Vishnuvaradhan was in deep sleep. Both VIPs and commoners alike flocked the grounds to pay their respects.
Meanwhile, the executive committee meeting of the South Indian Film Artistes Association was convened on Wednesday in Chennai to condole the death of the Kannada Superstar. The meeting was adjourned after paying respects to Vishnuvaradhan.
