Ashwath, voice of Vijay's son
For all of you who thought that Vijay's son Sanjay who danced with papa in the opening number 'Naan Adicha' in Vettaikaran, also lent his voice for his bit, here's a revelation. The kid singing the song is not Sanjay, but budding singer Ashwath Ajith. Ashwath, whose parents are into music themselves, began his singing career with a number in the Malayalam movie Currency. His dad Ajith is a drummer, while mom Vinitha is a singer. Ashwath's playback singing in Tamil got quite a kickstart with three numbers composed by James Vasanthan for Pasanga. 'I am a big Vijay fan myself. I admire lots of his dance moves, and am pretty good at imitating them as well. I am very grateful to music director Vijay Anthony for giving me the opportunity to sing in the Vettaikaran music album. I was so thrilled when I got the call and even more excited when I heard the lines,' admits the happy sixth grader. Upcoming songs for the youngster are in Dhrogi [Tamil] and Mounam Sammadham [Telugu]. CLICK HERE for Vettaikaran Songs. CLICK HERE for Vettaikaran Photo Gallery.
