On the lines of Gandhikrishna, Hosimin and Atlee, Karthick G.Krish who had assisted the visionary director Shankar in ‘Sivaji’ and ‘Enthiran’ starring Superstar Rajinikanth in lead role, is making is debut as a director.

Karthik Krish, a former associate of Shankar, is on the verge of wrapping up his film titled as ‘Kappal’ which is currently in its final schedule of shooting. The logo of the film with an ensemble of multi colors speaks on the various moods of the film, The director said on the color. ‘Kappal ‘ the title has lot to do with the script and its pattern.

The movie kick started a couple of weeks back and looks the the ship is set sail in the night these days. Kappal stars Vaibhav Reddy and Ashrita Shetty in the lead with VTV Ganesh and Venkat Sundar in important roles.

The film also has Arjunan of Kadhalil Sodhappuvadhu Yeppadi fame (Siddharth's friend), Karnakaran and Karthik Priyadarshan, among others in the cast. The team set to start shooting in the night for a few scenes that involve Vaibhav, VTV Ganesh and Venkat Sundar , Arjunan and Karnakaran.

Dinesh Krishnan is the cinematographer and music is being scored by Natarajan Sankaran of ‘Moodar Koodam’, 'Attakathi' and ‘Oru Kanniyum Moondu Kalavanaigalum’ fame. Anthony takes care of editing while sets are being designed by K.Arusamy.
