Reports say that there is a huge demand for the remake rights. A few producers have approached BVSN Prasad of which a leading Tamil filmmaker has also expressed his interest to remake the movie in Tamil.
“Nobody has bought the remake rights yet but several producers have expressed interest in the remake. A leading producer of Tamil movies is keen to remake the film with a top star. The official announcement may be made soon once all the formalities are finished,” a source close to producer BVSN Prasad told IANS
Sources say that Illayathalapathy Vijay is keen on remaking Attarintiki Daredi in Tamil. It is believed that the role is tailor-made for the actor. But nothing has been finalised.
