Vishal responds to Nadigar Sangam, denies insulting

Actor Vishal has informed the Nadigar Sangam in writing that at no point of time in the past, he meant to ‘insult’ or heap insult on the activities of the Sangam.
Earlier last week, the Nadigar Sangam had sent Vishal an official notice demanding an explanation from his end regarding the comments he made about the institution during Viswaroopam controversy.

Vishal was offered 10 days to respond to the notice, failing which they would consider suspending him from the organization. During the time when the issue of Kamal Haasan’s Vishwaroopam was banned in Tamil Nadu, Vishal reportedly wondered, at that time, that if a star like Kamal faced such situation, what could be the plight of other actors in similar cases.

Responding to the notice sent by the Sangam to him, the dark handsome actor in a letter delivered to the Sangam, stated that he didn’t mean to ‘insult’ the Sangam or its activities. Vishal has submitted a written statement explaining his motives and intentions behind his online outburst where he questioned the Nadigar Sangam’s inaction during the Vishwaroopam controversy. The decision of the Nadigar Sangam, who is reviewing Vishal’s statement, is expected soon.
