After films like ‘Sivakasi’, ‘Dharmapuri’ and ‘Pazhani’ in Tamil, director Perarasu is now Mollywood bound. He will make his debut in Malayalam with a film titled ‘Son of Alexander’.

The movie will be a sequel to the 1990s hit, ‘Samrajyam’, which had Mammootty in the lead role. Interestingly, music maestro Ilayaraja will take care of the background score for this flick.

Sekhar V Joseph, who is responsible for stunning visuals in Superstar Rajinikanth’s ‘Chandramukhi’, will wield the camera for ‘Son of Alexander’. The film will be produced by Ajmal Haasan.

The producer is optimistic about the movie’s prospects in the box-office. He says some top actors will be part of the movie and details will be unveiled later. “This will be the costliest Malayalam film till date,” he says.
