Both are stars in their own right. Both the women are a part of the glitzy race that distinguishes them from the rest. The girls who were friends once upon a time, became bitter enemies and there is a cold war going on between the two.


Trisha is the diva and the undisputed queen of Tamil and Telugu who has been around for a decade and is definitely one of the most popular faces in south cinema. She has worked with all superstars and top directors.

Nayan on the other hand has done far fewer films and made a name for herself by her elusive nature, fashion statements, bikini outings, and glamour quotient. She has a big star appeal, commands an opening and is media's biggest fodder for her off-screen romances.

Remember the incident when Nayan had to return the advance she took for her role in Kuruvi opposite Vijay, when Trisha came into the project in the last minute. In no time, Nayan took revenge by bagging the role in Sathyam opposite Vishal, a role that was supposed to be done by Trisha!

And more recently there were fireworks when Nayan was signed up by a popular saree store in Chennai for their advertisement, as Trisha was their brand ambassador! The buzz is that they had a race over who comes in more number of hoardings!

Common friends of both the stars added fuel to fire instead of bringing them together. But soon news of Nayan tying the knot with Prabhu Deva and her quitting films were doing the rounds. But now the war seems to have taken a new twist after Nayan broke with Prabhu and announced her entry back into films and is moving on from one plum assignment to another.

Last week, Trisha posted a picture of her with Prabhu Deva (Nayan ex- boyfriend) on Twitter, at the latter's birthday party, which caught the attention of media, who splashed it. And in no time, Nayan who is currently doing a Telugu film with Rana, Trisha's "close friend" was seen smiling, chatting up and sitting next to him at a function to felicitate veteran actor Akkineni Nageswara Rao in Hyderabad.

A leading Television channel which was showing the programme live, took advantage of this rare moment and showed Rana Duggubati, who was sitting with the men slowly shifting seats to be near Nayan and was seen stuck to her side throughout the evening.

Industry watchers feel that the war between the two is going to hot up, in the coming days!
