Veteran actor Nizhagal Ravi has completed 500 films in his career spanning 31 years. Talking to mediapersons, he said he was introduced in ‘Nizhalgal’ in 1980. After acting as hero in 60 films, he became a character actor.
He has appeared mostly as father. He has played villain characters too. Ravi has acted in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada films. ‘Suzhnilai’ released on Feb.10 was his 500th film. He is currently working for ten films.

Ravi said he wants to become a director and the time has now come for him to take the plunge.
