Veteran singer T M Soundararajan has been
admitted in Apollo Hospital in Chennai after he was diagnosed some
neurological disorder affecting the brain.
The legendary singer TM Soundararajan fondly known as TMS who is associated with the voice of MGR, Sivaji Ganesan, Gemini Ganesan and several others stars beloning to that era, is battling for his life at a hospital in Teynampet. Neurological deterioration has tormented the singer for the past month and he suffered from severe memory loss. Doctors have diagnosed the condition as nerve damage and he was admitted for treatment.
Shortly after, he slipped into a coma and doctors are doing their best for him. Prominent film personalities like Vairamuthu and P Sushila paid him a visit and offered their support for his family. His condition is still critical and he is being kept under observation in the Intensive Care Unit.
The 87 years old legendary singer is a diabetic and
also suffering from memory loss for some time. When the memory loss
became very acute in the past few days TMS was taken to the hospital and
put under intensive care.
TMS is a legend in his own life time and Tamil cinema
music history cannot be written without allotting substantial number of
pages to this marvel. In a career spanning over 60 years TMS has sung
for almost all the heroes of Tamil films from MGR, Sivaji to Kamal,
Rajini to Sivakumar, Muthuraman to Sathyaraj, Karthik to many others.
