We are well aware that Singer Chinmayi has won the prestigious Nandi award under the category of Best Dubbing Artiste for 'Ye Maya Chesave', the Telugu version of 'Vinnaithandi Varuvaya'.
The singer cum dubbing artiste is currently on cloud nine and is very happy for winning the award for her favorite film. On this eve the singer recalls her past and wrote on her blog like this “This journey, too started from Rahman sir's studio when the studio engineer Karthik called me to test for Sillunu Oru Kadhal. I, in my opinion, had a very un-girly, un-sing-song voice”
She added “I have just normal voice but somehow director Krishna liked it and decided to have my voice for Bhoomika. In about five years I have done dubbing for 22 films and I have never planned something like this. VTV and YMC are definitely the best films in my dubbing career. I learned a lot from Gautham sir, especially subtlety in dubbing".
We at KollyInsider congratulate Chinmayi on winning this award and wishing her many more to come.
